BioValue Annual Assembly 2014 – A place for network and new ideas emerging
With AU Foulum as the setting for the first annual assembly of BioValue relationships and ideas were created on September 3rd-4th 2014. Ideas that will turn into ways to improve the coherency of BioValue.
A large turnout of the approx. 70 researchers and company representatives in BioValue was gathered, with the Annual Assembly reaching a total volume of 58 participants. Nearly all Ph.D. students and Post Docs were present; all remarking the cozy atmosphere and the willingness to share information in a constructive way which permeated the event.
After short presentations of all BioValues research and innovation projects the participants had to develop ideas on the synergy between current projects and future innovation projects with small and medium-sized enterprises. Besides contributing with suggestions to develop the synergy between current projects, most participants found it very useful to get fresh eyes on their own projects.
“It’s nice to see that there are others who are also interested in the projects you are working on. Thus, you get new and different perspectives on your own project,” said Vinni Kragbæk, PhD at AU (Project 2).
