The SME pool has undergone a number of changes and is now called the innovation pool

The former SME pool has recently undergone a number of changes that opens up for who can apply for financial support.

The innovation pool is now open for everyone and not only SMEs.

This means, that if anyone has an idea that adds value to the core technologies or products of biorefinery, they are now able to seek guidance from Thorkild Q. Frandsen who will assist in the application process. Your project budget must still entail 50% co-funding in the form of in-kind or cash from non-public funding – e.g. SMEs, large industries, NGOs etc.

The aim of the innovation pool is to create new products and growth for Danish companies and bridge the gap between knowledge and market. This means that any innovation projects must be likely to commercialize their results within a few years.

With the innovation pool grants, it is BioValue’s intention to boost commercial partners by supplying knowledge, methods and research results from the contributing knowledge institutions.

The application guidelines can be found below, together with contact information for Thorkild. Please do note that the application guidelines are only available in Danish.

There is approx. 4 million DKK in the pool and applications will be processed by the board on June 2nd. Next application deadline is expected to be in the end of October, provided funds are still available.
